Tree & Shrub Care
Like a green lawn, healthy ornamental trees and shrubs will help your landscape stand out.
The vast array of landscape plants, insect, diseases and environmental problems associated with trees and shrubs make hiring a professional essential to protecting your investment in them. Every property has different trees and shrubs, so we like to first visit your property and do a free analysis before designing a program.
Most properties do best with the following program; however some may require more plant specific treatments.
Winter Moth spraying, Taunton, MA
UPDATE 2022: Winter and Gypsy moth populations
Gypsy Moth populations are low to non existent in much of our service area. Winter Moth populations have also declined steadily the last couple seasons. There may still be some areas with a damaging amount of caterpillars. If you had a lot of damage last season, contact us to schedule a Tree Spraying.
A Typical Tree & Shrub Care Program
Spring or Fall Fertilization: We do a deep root fertilization once per season. The product we use
1st Spring Insect and Disease Treatment: Designed to control and prevent many common damaging insect and disease pests.
*Because not all plants leaf out at the same time, it is not uncommon for properties to receive an additional no charge spray early spring.*
2nd Spring Insect and Disease Treatment: Designed to control insects, mites and diseases that are starting with the warmer temperatures.
Summer Insect and Disease Treatment: To control Summer insects, diseases, mites and next generations of the spring insects moving back into the landscape.
Additional Tree and Shrub Services
These services are more dependent upon the specific types of trees and shrubs on your property.
Dormant/Horticultural Oil Spray: Best option for several insect problems. Applied after foliage drops and/or before spring leaf out.
Hemlock Wooly Adelgid Control Program:
Tall Tree Spraying for Gypsy & Winter Moth Caterpillars:
Call early, Winter Moths are present before leaves are even noticeable.
